This list is non-exhaustive, and state teams are encouraged to expand and adapt these pages to their organizing needs.

Political Landscape of Oklahoma

Partisan Composition of Oklahoma

Overall, Oklahoma is considered a deep red state, with a Cook PVI of R+20 as of 2022, regularly voting 60-70% Republican in statewide races. Oklahoma's entire US House (5) and Senate delegation, as well as their governor, are Republicans. Republicans also have supermajorities in the state house (81-20) and state senate (40-8) as of the 2023 legislative session, giving them a trifecta.

Progressive Outlook for Oklahoma

The overall progressive strategy for Oklahoma is bleak. The main priorities should be to blunt the effect of the Republican trifecta via citizen-led ballot measures and fight for a more fair map which would give the possibility of electing a Democrat, albeit likely a more conservative one, in a single district as Kendra Horn was. As Oklahoma is a closed primary state, it is also viable to register as a Republican in order to vote for more moderate candidates in the primary.
