This will be the page where the programming team for PV will document its work and accomplishments.

Our Mission

As the coding team, our main goal is to provide support to Progressive Victory in achieving their goals through developing and maintaining technical infrastructure.

The Team

We are a group of volunteers here to offer our skills because we believe in the project. The current leader of the coding-related projects is @okami.codes, one of the directors. Everyone else is an equal volunteer with the ability to discuss and change the code for any project significantly! Now that you’ve joined the team, our goal is to get you right into the action and coding as soon as possible! If you’ve got other coding related skills then great! We’ll need those too. The teams are outlined below:

  • Website Team
    • okami.codes
    • naters
    • rszab003
  • Bot Team
    • that_mafia
    • astoria3955
    • okami.codes

Helpful Resources

Here are some resources to help you get started on the route to programming.

Projects

Intake Form

This is how people enter the Discord server. You can find the live form here.

Discord Bot

We’re working on improving a Discord bot that’s contained within the server to help members and leads alike to achieve their goals and feel empowered within the organization.

Website

We’re building a website with the goal of facilitating the recruitment of volunteers into PV, connecting those volunteers with political campaigns and opportunities for activism, and generally representing PV as a professional organization. The website is our current main priority. Details about our projects will be discussed below.

Wiki

We’re building a wiki which will serve both as an informational hub for PV’s operations and community, as well as a broader resource for progressive activism both inside and outside of PV, and an alternative means to connect new people with PV. While the writing, editing, and interface design of the wiki will be handled by other skill teams, the coding team is tasked with assisting them and maintaining the site.
